This specific piece is created with encaustic wax and oil paint, layered on a mylar surface which creates a beautiful glow behind the imagery of the home. It is framed in a clean, white wooden frame and there are spacers in-between the painting and the museum glass. It was completed in 2018 and is signed on the front lower corner of the mylar.
Christopher Kier is a contemporary artist who works in encaustic painting and drawing. His work resembles architectural motifs and mid-century design.
