Stalled Ships is from Gent’s series inspired by the winter months on the Rocky River. This oil on panel depicts sail boats stored on the shore of the Cleveland Yachting Club, pictured at night with the glow of the light at the docks.

Hilary Gent is a painter who works with oil and latex mediums, inspired by the urban and natural landscape. Her paintings are inspired by the extensive color palettes from reflections of light, landscape and other objects in and on the water.
