Justin Brennan is an abstract and figurative painter who works in mediums such as oil, acrylic, latex, charcoal, spray paint and collage, creating bold, vibrant paintings that focus on his day to day interactions and human relationships. He is mainly self taught, beginning his practice in 2005, and can be found in many private collections throughout the United States.

800 East Summit Street is a part of Brennan’s very recent narrative series; this painting in particular details out scenery from the artist’s experience in Kent, Ohio. The artist uses thick applications of oil paint to create subtle dimension on the canvas and illustrates objects with oil stick. The painting was completed in 2020, and the artist’s signature is on the back of the canvas.
