Empty Places by artist Nikki Woods is a oil on canvas, depicting the delicate branches of a tree in early spring. Nikki Woods is a painter that makes expressive paintings of highly decorative and decadent landscapes, objects, and centerpieces where images and material merge in and out of states of visual and psychological slippage. Woods’ lush color palette and painterly mark making creates visual sensations on her canvases. She received a BFA from The Cleveland Institute of Art, is currently the director of Reinberger Gallery at CIA. Her work is in many private and public collections, including the Progressive Art Collection.
