Residential Projects

Commission Artwork & Installation | Cleveland, OH 2024:

The artwork for this project was selected from a detailed proposal, and curated to compliment a completely new build. Our team worked alongside interior designers and architects to ensure that the larger scale pieces would fit perfectly in the new space and create a cohesive dialogue with pre-existing artwork and a very contemporary design aesthetic. One of our favorite pieces was a commissioned 8' x 4' textile based on site specific views from the client's rooftop patio. Colors, textures and size were carefully chosen to compliment his 4th floor stairwell area.

The HEDGE team delivered and professionally installed the artwork while also discussing ideas with the interior design team.

Commission Artwork & Installation | Brecksville, OH 2024:

This project resulted after clients viewed Rebecca Cross' artwork in a recent exhibition at HEDGE. While visiting her show, they fell in love with the idea of bringing textiles into their home. Knowing that they already had a gorgeous collection of artwork, and a newly designed office/lounge area that they needed artwork for, our team visited with the artist to choose color palettes and carefully measure the areas the commission pieces would be designed for.

After on-site meetings and other communications, Rebecca created samples for them to choose from and the project began. A custom, hand dyed silk shibori triptych was designed for a main wall, and a hanging silk and steel installation was created for the office wall.

These pieces were professionally installed by the artist and HEDGE Gallery team.

Commission Painting & InstallatioN | Pepper Pike, OH 2024:

A large-scale commission painting was created for a completely remodeled space above this client's fireplace. Artist, Hilary Gent was brought on board to create the 48" x 90" dyptich that was inspired by waters on the Rocky River. Here is the artist's description of the project:

“Commissions begin with site visits and discussions about color and design, careful measurements and then visits to the water. I work on a scaled down sample painting to offer an idea of what the final piece will look like.

This client's home is filled with natural light and great views of a wooded lot, so I wanted this large painting to reflect her love of nature with big movements and a snippet of blue sky.

The final piece was professionally installed by ROCK-FAS Fine Art Services.

Commission Painting & Installation | Broadview Heights, OH, 2022:

This painting was created specifically for a large open area over a fireplace mantel and the couple knew they wanted original artwork. They were moving into a new build, incorporating neutral color palettes, and furniture as well as pre-existing art and decor pieces, into their home.

They wanted a water inspired painting, so artist and Gallery Director, Hilary Gent, met with them to show her work which is heavily influenced by Lake Erie themes. Hilary then visited their home to get exact measurements and created a proposal with three different options and styles of work to choose from. After the final selection was made, she created a sample painting to confirm colors and themes, then began the final piece.

After the painting was completed, the couple decided they wanted to frame the piece, so Hilary consulted with them on styles, showed sample ideas and worked with Walken Frame and Art to complete the job. The HEDGE team delivered and professionally installed the final creation.

Art Curation & Installation | Avon, OH 2021-2022:

This project began with initial interest in curating new contemporary work into a home with pre-existing artwork. An on-site visit led to a proposal with various selections for specific areas in their home. Two commission paintings resulted, and other new pieces were added in over time.

The HEDGE team stayed in touch with ideas over the course of a year and half so the couple could visit exhibits, see works in person, and were invited to visit artist's studios to see their new projects.

Each selected artwork was delivered and installed by the HEDGE Gallery team, and some pre-existing artwork was also re-hung in new areas of the home.

Art Curation & Installation for New & Existing Collection | Avon Lake, OH 2020-2021:

The clients were remodeling their new home, and knew they wanted to focus on local, contemporary artwork to create statement pieces and complement the overall design. They had purchased some new art, and also wanted the new work to be cohesive with these choices.

Our team conducted a site visit during construction to get an overall feel for their home, and put together a proposal of pieces suited to their taste and style. We scheduled art viewings at the Gallery so they could see the work in person, and from there they made selections.

The HEDGE Gallery team transported and installed the selections of work, and professionally installed them in the dining room, kitchen, hallways, lower level and bedrooms. The client's pre-existing artwork was also installed by the HEDGE team.

Art curation & Installation | mayfield heights, OH 2016:

The client had a pre-existing art collection that our team re-hung throughout the house, and helped select three large-scale encaustic paintings by represented artist Christopher Kier for an open wall area above the living room. The pieces were delivered and professionally installed by gallery director Hilary Gent.
